The property sits above the Greenhouse restaurant and next to the Buccaneer Beach Bar on Kim Sha Beach. This property is in the middle of it all with lively restaurants steps away.
The spacious living and dining area is tastefully furnished with a Caribbean flair and opens onto the seaside terrace area with private pool. A convenient and open kitchen was made for socializing and features modern appliances.
Enjoy breakfast on the seaside patio while taking in the view of the blue waters and tropical palm trees as there are several outdoor spaces from which you can choose from.
The penthouse features three individually decorated bedroom suites, each with en-suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms offer a king size bed and the third bedroom offers two queen beds and will comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. Children are welcome here, making it an ideal location for families. All bedrooms offer air conditioning, ceiling fan, and ample storage space.
The location is convenient and within walking distance to a large grocery store, smaller convenience stores, a menagerie of restaurants to suit your taste, beach and piano bars, nightclubs, bakeries, pharmacy, banks, casinos, a movie theater, spas, salons and many small shops for a duty-free retail fix. For the adventure seekers there are a myriad of activities on the beach including; jet-skis, kayaks, scuba diving excursions, and daily catamaran sails to the neighboring islands of St. Barths, Saba and Anguilla is a five-minute walk away. Maia’s place was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Everything we were looking for during our stay for a bachelorette party! Leading up to the trip, Maia answered ALL of my questions regarding covid tests, what to fill out before arriving and questions about a private chef. During our trip, she checked in and made sure we had everything we needed! She truly was one of the best hosts!
I have already recommended this place to everyone! The house is fantastic and in the best location! It’s on top of a great restaurant, next to a beach bar and you have your own pool…what’s better than that!!! The bedrooms were spacious and big, beds were sooo comfy and the showers, holy cow, hugeeee! We wanted a place where we could cook our own meals during the trip. Maia provided all of the condiments, spices, and the fridge has a hidden place to fill up your water! She also provided toilet paper, laundry detergent, shower and beach towels! Literally everything you need! It was an unforgettable trip! Thank you so much!
Maia and team were so warm, welcoming and helpful!! They made sure we knew how to get to the location, met us to welcome us inside and provided instructions on how to work items in the house. The place was exactly as described in the pictures – amazing bedrooms, every bedroom had a bathroom, large space for gathering and a lovely outdoor space. The place was in an amazing location – brief walks to the grocery store, tons of restaurants, casino, and you could walk right out onto the beach. This was a fantastic airbnb that I can’t recommend enough.
Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful vacation in such a unique spot on Simpson Bay beach! The spacious apartment had everything we needed with private bathrooms in each bedroom, very comfortable beds with lovely linens and plenty of towels. The balcony overlooking the beach was a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee. The friendly, helpful Sol Y Mar team met us at the car rental and helped us into the unit and showed us around. They were always quick to respond to any questions.
The place was exactly as described and was perfect for our two families. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance and of course, right on the beach! The host made it extremely easy to communicate and was responsive throughout the entire week. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a more private accommodation outside the resorts.
This is an amazing villa with plenty of room for a family. We loved so many things including the private pool, the well stocked kitchen, the comfy beds, and the large showers. Most importantly this location is heaven! It’s steps away from the ocean and the Buccaneer Beach Bar where you can sit in comfy chairs under umbrellas and order delicious food and drinks all day. The ocean is so calm and peaceful and absolutely perfect!
The villa has a great kitchen with new appliances that are easy to use and a grill for nights in. You can also easily walk to so many fabulous restaurants and most have live music. You can sit on the porch at night listening to to music from the Buccaneer Beach Bar! Our family loves football and the TVs and internet were great and they were able to watch the playoff games (we don’t always have this in the island).
If you have the opportunity to stay at this villa, you should do it, you will love it!
First and foremost, Maia was such a great host. The property was really amazing and clean. The two different outdoor areas are really nice. The convenience to shopping and restaurants was a bonus. I would highly recommend this place.
Sol Y Mar was absolutely fabulous! The location is perfect, right above a delicious restaurant with great food and drink specials, next to the bar which also serves a great breakfast, steps to the beach where we grabbed chairs and umbrellas, a private pool, a market right out the front door and a 2 minute walk to the public transportation stop! We also did a snorkeling excursion and the boat dock was a stone’s throw away. You can do everything you need without ever needing a car! The house had everything we needed, including some kitchen staples and snacks, plenty of towels, toiletries and more. We traveled with another couple and our kids and couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The hosts were also fantastic, answered all of our questions and were super accommodating. If we ever get to make it back, we will definitely be checking Sol Y Mar first!

The location is superb. The property is clean, comfortable and well stocked with amenities. The private pool just puts it over the top after a long day exploring or just hanging at the beach that is literally steps from the door.
Maia and her group were excellent communicators and made sure our every need was met…and were quite charming as well.
