The 6 of us had such a great time!! The location to stores and to the beach was just perfect. I think the best thing about it was the access to the beach bar as well as the restaurant downstairs. Also nice being served food and drink while sitting on the beach. Some sargassum but not too bad. The pool was also nice to have, but in September it gets a little warm and it is quite shallow. I think the only downside is that for some reason housekeeping comes twice a week for at least 7 hours each time. For people like us, that is just not needed. My sister in law was lying down in her bedroom trying to get some rest and the housekeeper went and knocked on her door. Small issue, but still. I don't know if we could have requested less housekeeping or not. Probably our fault for not asking. Besides that small inconvenience, AWESOME!!
Sol Y Mar was the perfect rental for our vacation. We had 6 adults and 2 children (3 & 1). The unit layout provided everyone with necessary privacy and also allowed us to feel together as a family. The kitchen was well stocked, the location was unbeatable, and the staff was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed Green House Restaurant directly downstairs. Super convenient! We also frequented Buccaneer Beach Bar and enjoyed ourselves. A few things I feel worth mentioning... the noise from outside establishments can get loud (which didn't bother us- we used sound machines to drown it out). We were planning on using the crib for our 1 year old, however we did find the crib to be in poor condition and the mattress was significantly stained. BUT, due to the location and amenities you might not want to leave. Overall this was a fabulous unit. We will 100% never look elsewhere for a rental. This was amazing and we are already looking forward to returning!
Place had everything we were looking for & location was great. I cannot say enough about the IRE management team! I have been coming to the island for years & they were by far the best team I have worked with. Everything was wonderful!
We absolutely loved Sol y Mar. First time traveling to St. Martin and so happy that we chose to stay in Simpson Bay. The property was in an excellent location and the rental office was so responsive to all of our needs. We will absolutely be returning.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL VISIT, THIS HOME IS GREAT THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE RESTAURANT DOWNSTAIRS DID NOT INTERFERE WITH OUR STAY AT ALL AND TURNED OUT TO BE OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO GO. GREAT DRINKS HAPPY HOUR 11-7 EVERYDAY.

The villa was clean, had a FANTASTIC location, excellent views, and was in the center of night life. We could not have picked a better location for our stay. Literally steps from the beach, 3 restaurants, and grocery stores. Had it's own dedicated parking space which wave very helpful and the private pool was amazing. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed at this property and the location is awesome for walking to many restaurants and bars as well as having beach access. It has a great market a little ways down the road that carries everything imaginable. Sit out on either the pool deck or the deck facing the beach and listen to the music at happy Buccaneer Beach Club at Happy Hour. If you like being in the thick of the action this is most definitely the property for you!the management company that handles this property is second to none. Everything was flawless from start to finish.
